For this post-Labor day weekend we dug up over 20 events to share with you starting today, Thursday September 15th with Oktoberfest in Mt. Angel featuring over 40 beers from Oregon and around the world.  Today, Fire on the Mountain does a Lager Tap takeover thru the weekend at 11:00 a.m., followed by new releases from Hopworks, VICE BEER, Hetty Alice and a collabo beer with Ecliptic and Holy Mountain at the Tulip Shop Tavern.  John Holl will be doing a podcast/beer signing of his new book the Craft Brewery Cookbook at Von Ebert Glendoveer at 5:30 p.m.

Friday starts with Roscoe’s Fresh Hop Beer Summit and two fresh hop beer releases from Hopworks before noon, followed by an Oktoberfest celebration at Belmont Station, Kittens and Beer at Loyal Legion Beaverton and another new beer release from VICE BEER – Erik Freshstrata in Vancouver.

Saturday kicks off with McMenamins inaugural Fresh Hopped beer fest in Wilsonville, Terminal Gravity’s 25th Jubilee in Enterprise, Oktoberfest celebrations at both Loyal Legion locations in PDX Metro and at Imperial on SE Division in PDX, followed by a Luau at Laurelwood, a rockin’ block party at Ruse Brewing and Brewing Bridges Collabo beer fest at Pearson Air Museum in Vancouver.

Over the course of the next four days you can catch the Shins, Pavement, Interpol and Spoon outdoors while enjoying a locally made craft beer at two venues in the Portland metro area.  Fact: members of at least 3 of these bands have called Portland home over the last 25 years.

MT. ANGEL OKTOBERFEST
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15 – 11:00AM THRU SUNDAY
Oktoberfest is celebrated throughout the downtown area of Mount Angel which lies approximately 40 miles south of Portland from Thursday at 11:00 a.m. thru Sunday.  It is the largest Oktoberfest celebration west of the Cascades and features more than 40 beers from breweries around the world.

F.O.T.M. BREWING LAGER TAP TAKEOVER
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15 – 11-10:00PM
On Thursday Fire on the Mountain celebrates Oktoberfest with the release of their new Vienna Lager, the Pacific North Festbier.   They will  have four F.O.T.M.  lagers  and four total other lager beers from Foreland, Living Haus, Oakshire and Rosenstadt with a soft pretzel special with Queso and a pint for an undisclosed amount of dough.
