Washington’s Winter Beer Festival will return this weekend to Seattle’s Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park from December 1 – 2, 2022. And we take a sneak peek of the festival’s tap list, and it sure looks quite intersting and worthy of a trip to the Emerald City this weekend!

Hosted by the Washington Beer Commission, the 2022 Winter Beer Festival will bring together over 25 Washington based breweries to Seattle’s Sand Point Neighborhood. This list of breweries will be serving up beers that help usher in the winter season that lies ahead. This will include dark malty stouts, barrel-aged beers, winter warmers, bold IPAs and other unique beers. And damn, that selection of beers from Fremont Brewing is enticing enough!

Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park on Seattle’s northeast side will host the Winter Beer Festival over three sessions. The first session will take place on Friday, December 2 from 5:30-9:30pm. Then the following day, Saturday, December 3, the festival will host two sessions, one from Noon-4:00pm and the other from 5:30-9:30pm.

Admission into the 2022 Winter Beer Festival is $40 ($42.19 after fees) in advance and $45 at the door. Entry includes a tasting glass and ten 4oz beer tastes.   • Re-gift Fruitcake Winter Ale, IBU 23 IBU / ABV 7% ABV
    A winter ale brewed with actual fruitcake and added spices.

    Strong porter with a hint of smoked malt

Anacortes Brewery-Anacortes – Table #23

  • Noel Winter Ale, 8.5% ABV / 45 IBU
    Brewed to celebrate the holiday season, this winter warmer uses various aromatic specialty malts and has a prominent hop character from mild American Noble varieties.
  • School’s Out, 5.1% ABV / 35 IBU
    This golden pilsner is made with a traditional malt bill of Northwest two row and a 8 week lager period. Balanced with Spalter Select hops.
  • Klosterbier, 5.3% ABV/ 35 IBU
    Smooth, dark lager originally brewed at the Anacortes Brewery under the guidance of the visiting brewmaster of The Kalt Loch Brewery in Bavaria. Inspired by a dark lager brewed for the Engelberg Monastery. Delicately hopped with Perle hops, this beer has become a local favorite.
  • Broadsword Scottish Ale 8.8% ABV / 35 IBU
    Black Patent, Caramel, Chocolate, Munich & Peat smoked malts produce dark color, malty flavor and subtle smokiness in this robust Scottish Ale. Perle, Cascade & Mt Hood provide a balanced bitterness.
